Pitch yourself and get to Being Digital

Being Digital is a conference on Jun 10 which will look at seven digital themes as well as running a startup competition with yours truly. Tickets cost £325 each but TechCrunch UK has one delegate ticket to give away to the best video comment left below this post.
It might be funny, clever, inspiring, cynical, you name it. Perhaps you’d like to comment on a recent TechCrunch story? Or lambast me? You decide.
But if you can’t come up with anything but still want to bring your startup to the event, then I have 1 (one) free demo place (£895 full value) going as well.
But you’re also going to also have to leave a video comment. Am I evil? Maybe. But it will be good practice for the video pitches they plan to run at the event. (Judges decision is final, etc)
For those of you with money (and keeping your dignity intact) there is a discount offer of a £500 price to demo companies if you quote “TCUKDEMO” when you apply. The demo area is sponsored by Sun who I think have some goodies for the winner.
Lastly, following a huge debate about the lack of women speakers at the event (typical quote: “Looks like a great event but was it really only possible to get 2 women speakers out of a total of 36? “), I am informed that the organisers are “working hard to ensure a more gender balanced programme” and “would be very happy to hear from TCUK readers with suggestions.”

I was born mildly ugly and then had corrective surgery which is why I favor post-it notes, they hide the scars. I have mental scars too. Itchy ones.
I’ll quit it with video now as I’m pretty sure Loic will be ’see’thing at the thought of his mis-spelt earthquake event company being so abused.
If I don’t win I may pose as a bearded lady start-up entrepreneur and do battle with all future tech event organisers.

@paul carr and @ robert loch - A quick tip on posting video comments: The video will stop recording if you suddenly drop your connection or go out of WiFi range… which appears to be what is happening when you post from your garden. Have another go!

Mike - I was going to try post a video comment, but after installing seesmic, everytime I tried it froze firefox… so I gave up. Wasted about 15 minutes of my day making an attempt… I’ll wait until they get it more stable.
What I was going to say was…
I may be on twitter, facebook, myspace, post my photo’s on flickr, my bookmarks on del.icio.us, my life on wordpress, discover music with last.fm, places to go with wayn, and have a flutter with friends on Pikum….

The dog! Are you insane, the dog was barking because it was being taunted with a bone or worse off camera, who are we to say the dog actually received the much vaunted bone? What if the dog was denied the bone? In my book and it’s a small red book with pictures of sparrows in it and hair cuttings (see Barcelona post), then that amounts to animal cruelty. The olde sport of animal taunting, disgraceful!
