Just a tip to http://barcamp.org/BarCampLondon4 and Going Digital and @media that you might want to include in your next post.

Tried to check out the Northern Startup Business site, but it’s giving all errors on me. Looks like drupal is bugging..

Great initiative. Biweekly is probably sufficient, but definately very helpful.

Terribly sorry. Decided to postpone next Northern StartUp 2.0 event scheduled for 10th April to May, as I need to get both http://www.edocr.com and myself ready for http://www.webmission08.com. The May event will focus on:
1st half - the importance of Silicon Vally - Webmission08 (manoj) + DemoFall (Anish from Yuuguu)
2nd half - Investment readiness - panel discussion with VCs and entrepreneurs
If you are interested in speaking or attending, drop me an e-mail through http://www.nwstartup20.co.uk contact us.
Once again, terribly sorry about the 10th.

Thanks for the list, Mike! This will unquestionably be useful to us startup’y people who want to make the most of all opportunities to meet people.
For the marketing types in new web companies, Fuel Conference might be a good one too? http://fuel-conference.com/

Good idea Mike, couple of Chinwag events for your calendar (and apologies in advance for the blatant plug, hope they’re useful for some of the TC massive, esp. our first steps in doing something outside London):
User Centered Advertising in Manchester - Tue 15th April
http://live.chinwag.com/uca-manchester
£5+Vat discount for TC UKers: http://tinyurl.com/5rqbvs
Real World Usability in London - Tue 22nd April
http://live.chinwag.com/realworldusability
We’ve also sorted out an RSS feed for all the upcoming industry events:

Want a widgetised version for TCUK?
April 8th, 2008 at 9:38 pm
Any chance the above could come in iCal/Google Calendar format, for easy digestion/subscription?
I know it’s probably a faff, but just thinking aloud.
April 9th, 2008 at 7:54 am
You should create a widget for this which you simply update as new events pop up on your radar.
April 9th, 2008 at 8:44 am
FYI - The point of doing this - like all other content here - is to encourage subscriptions to TechCrunch UK & Ireland. You’ll note that many of the events have their own upcoming page where you can add to your iCal etc etc

Mike - a regular list of events will be very useful. Thanks

Hi Mike
Agree with your comments about the need for pitch training for start-ups. Here at the Gateway to Investment (g2i) programme (http://www.g2i.org), which is specifically for London start-up and early stage companies in all sectors, we have already identified this need and will be running a one-day seminar in mid/late May.
Cheers,
Ian
